Exmo Spare Wheel

Hi, I have just purchased an Exmo, built in 97, there is no provision for a spare wheel, is this on omission on the part of the builder, or are they not designed to have one.

If they can be fitted, can I purchase the part from RHE.

Thanks, Ant212.

As with all the monocoque cars, the spare wheel was "designed" (& I use the term loosely!) to sit on a 'D' shaped bit of tube that was flattened at each end, then screwed up under the rear edge of the car, with a long piece of threaded bar bolted through the rear panel of the car to go through a wheel stud hole in the wheel. As you can imagine, this was not very nice, so most Hoodies either did it some other way, or as with your's, just didn't bother.

I would also be very surprised if RH have any wheels like the ones that you have, RS buy's them in job lots, and when one lot have gone, he gets another lot at what is the cheapest price (that's how he keeps the cost down) but they are usually completely different.

The best idea, would be to photograph one, and post it in the 'Wanted' section of the ad's.
