^_^ right,im getting a fibreglass air scoop from mnr (free) in yellow and i want it gloss black

tell me if im wrong(please) my way of doing it would be to fine sand it,then paint it with gloss black plasticoat paint, then spray a laquer over that(a few times)to get a real shine

will that work,or is there special paint etc i have to use

you might want to use an etching primer first but a few extra coats of black will probably sort it out anyway, just keep going until your happy with the finish :)

:) my idea is to make the scoop the only point of entry for air to go to the carbs, thus making a type of ram air effect and allowing colder air to enter the carbs rather than under bonnet air that will be quite hot, thus reducing power, because hotter air is less dense than colder air

ps,i think i need a new camera,or an instruction manual :D

:) it bolts on,there are about 8 studs built into it,should be fun marking it out

no the front needs to be open for the rad

i aim to seal the air filter so it only gets its air through the scoop
