Bunch of con artists the lot of them! I recently enquired with my insurer about being covered on a courtesy car whilst mine was being repaired (repaired was not the right word to use as it sent them flapping!). Its in for engine repair work due to a design issue from manufacture. However, I disagree with their £1500 excess on courtesy cars for dealer insurance and apparently, my own insurance might cover it.
Anyway, they started flapping saying I need to declare all incidents regardless of fault or claims or intention to repair etc and its against the law to not declare and it would invalidate insurance etc etc. Took 15 minutes to get through to explain I was not making a claim nor had an accident/incident and it was basically warranty work which provided me with a courtesy car. No doubt I got a flag against my account now!
The whole industry seems corrupt to me and they know you have limited options in terms of paying or not. This very same insurer waited a month into my policy to contact me saying to update my claim, apparently they have a subcategory that was left blank by the comparison website, meant I got hit with an extra £180 on top of the £750 already paid! Out of the cooling off period to cancel without fees and I couldn't ignore it as they'd cancel the policy. Over a barrel was the term I used, they laughed and took my card details. Already have the auto-renew struck off my account!- 1

Hi all,
I'm looking for one of the GBS Zero Exhaust Silencers, the large type as shown here:
http://s1262.photobucket.com/user/WallerZero/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140211_151041_zpssdm32mpo.jpg.html?sort=3&o=117
I have new exhausts on my V6 and guessing they are going to be quite a bit louder than the trackday limits. As such I'm looking for used one of any condition (I know they like to rattle after a while but not a problem to me) so I can swap them out for track days. So if anyone has a used one lying around the garage they no longer need, let me knowCheers,

Looks like I'm working lunch now....strangely not feeling hungry anymore!
I think I need a bigger garage before I get any form of heater. I'd end up having to hang it from the roof or something........now there is an idea! -
£50! Get a few decent garage jumpers for that! Less of a fire hazard lol

If you don't have a big wing, whats the point of even bringing the car out the garage?
-
Ah your joking I thought if I put 17 inch rims on same tyre wall I've gone up 2 inch from the last set and then lowering the car by 2 inch It would drop the arch?
Have a look at this website if you're planning to change tyre sizes. Its very good to ensure you get what you want if you're planning to fill the arches

Also....I'm just going to leave this here......

If the badge/grill is flat and you can create a dxf file of what you want (many free online CAD softwares capable) you'll be able to find any water jet or plasma/laser cutter will be able to do something to your design. Prices can vary from supplier to supplier plus material costs. But with a dxf you can email it out to loads and get the quotes in. I'd go waterjet as the cheaper of the options

I don't remember saying yes but ok, I'm in....already...

I can't tell if this is a warning about car cloning.....or a very good excuse that appears to work spectacularly well

I had a Bosch Battery from them which at the time was on offer to £69 from £80ish 2 years ago. It failed and wouldn't charge so cashed in on the 4 year warranty and found the retail price now was £113.99 (10% discount from £126)!!!!
Thanks to an issue with Eurocarparts "not doing returns on Sundays" I found a new battery elsewhere for less money with a lifetime warranty so free replacement if it ever fails. Result. Would now rarely use ECP now after that experience. -
From the limited pictures, it looks like there are sharp edges below headlamp, and the front indicators too far in from outer edges, which are IVA fails.

I think most IVA trim has a terrible habit of falling off on the way home....

I borrowed an engraver from work, did it freehand marking the required height for the characters on the chassis rail. Passed no problem. Main thing is that its legible and required heights (p.s. my engraving handwriting is appalling lol)
