If its a suppressor then all is does is stop the engine noise coming through radio and speakers which makes is sound like a supercharger whine through speakers up and down with revs so if removed won't affect running of car at all

Might just save up then and replace 1800 with the 2000 pinto but the 1800 is very low mileage and quiet and rattle and smoke free only this coming from exhaust is soot from bad over fuel running rich struggling to set up

I know of a complete 2.0 dohc efi engine can I just drop this in place of pinto already in hood and just use what I already have carb and manifold dizzy etc etc if not what do I have to change add etc such as ecu etc as is just the engine came from a!sierra 2000e is it 8v same as one in pic

Wondering whether to cut bonnet scoop into bonnet for air feed to carb air filter as really needs air I would prefer some sort of plenum chamber to fit on top of carb weber 32/36 and then a cool air pipe into nose cone with cone filter on end but don't know how to make one and don't really want to pay £70 for a plenum then pip then filter prob near £100 when finished but its what I want lol anyone made there own or other ideas

It ran fine on Ivans car before he went bike carbs so prob wants a good tune up but could also be filter and. Bonnet not slowing air in drove down road other day with bonnet off and went a lot better so gonna cut hole in bonnet and fit scoop try tune up and service too wonder what jets are in hmmmmm

Topped up gearbox pit in just over 1 litre so that was issue a lot quieter now

I have got a foam filter with base plate with base plate on the filter off the choke still works but notices the choke flaps are not solid vertical when off they move a bit loose like

I am going to do cabin including dash rewire clocks gauges and acoustic carpet in winter so yeah hopefully that will help

Got a suction gun going to suck out old oil and replace and see if any whine any better the gearbox is working fine so hopefully will do season then winter might have to sweet talk Dan to help with rebuild

What's best thing to use to suck oil out of the filler hole

Got a whine in 2nd and 3rd could be normal not sure and when speedo cable feel out the oil that came out was black so decided to change the oil what's best way of doing this

Is auto choke water operated the choke top butterfly defiantly opens when warm so assume choke off I think lol
