  1. Hi Guy's,

I've just got the head off my pinto. When i fitted it 3 years ago my mate renovated it and told me it was a 2.1lt. I've put a tape measure to the cylinders and there not measuring any more than a 2lt.

Im getting about 91mm diameter. Does this mean that im right - it's a 2lt or might the stroke have been lengthened to make it 2.1lt?

    Jon :(

  2. Nigel,

After I read that the FR34 was a sports injection cam I thought I'd better check the box again!

Im feeling a bit silly now as my cam (which has been under my bed for a long time) is not an FR34 it's an FR33 Fast road/rally.

Does that change everything? :boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo:

  3. Ummm......

so what your all saying is that my hot cam will run on a DGAS but its not going to get the full potential and by fittig a hot cam im going to be reving it loads to keep the it 'on cam' so my fuel economy will be rubbish still.

Im thinking i may be best selling my FR34 and going for a milder cam like an FR32. The original cam is badly worn so needs replacing with something else anyway. Put the DGAS on and have it rolling roaded.

  4. Hi all,

Planning a bit of a tune up in the next week or so. I have ready an unleaded head to replace my old 4* head on my 2.1 pinto.

I've also got a FR34 cam to go in at the same time and a DGAS carb.

I've not done any work on the head.. Its an injection one.

Will this all work? does the FR34 profile require an uprated flowed head with bigger valves and will it work ok with the DGAS carb? I have dellorto 40's fitted at the moment but they are too thirsty!

Any one else running a similar set-up?

    Cheers,

    Jon

  5. Hi Guys,

Can anyone suggest a place to get a hood frame made up in the north west. Im wanting to change my current rusty hood sticks for a nice shiney stainless set that will match the panels.

Might make it come to pieces to so it can go in the boot out of the way.

    Cheers,

    Jon

  6. last time this happened to me I had a right job stopping them!

Found the adware program by looking at the processes running in task manager (press control-alt-delete together once) and checking online (in google) what each one was until i came across the one that was responsable for the popups.

Im sure that someone can tell you a better way, but it might help.

    Jon

  7. Just a quick update! Solved the problem..... I took the ignition off the car including all the wiring and dissy and put it back again. Changed the inline plastic fuel filter and cleaned out the banjo filters each of the dellorto's.

All seams to be running fine now.... better than it has ever before to be truthful!

    Thanks for the help
