  1. The tank is 10l enough to get to a fuel station and has got to be Better than carrying a plastic 5l can in the boot right behind my back and head just ask Romain Grosjean. the ally 10l tank has a fuel sender in it so can see how much fuel is in there. Also with the installation of solenoid valves The fuel can be used easily so no chances of stale fuel!
  2. Thanks Jez, picture really shows it well and gives it a professional finished look. I have mine ordered. have you got those seat runners in yet? cheers Tony
  3. I have been carrying around a 5l fuel can just in case I run out. I thought there has to be a better solution for this. Today I have added a 10l reserve tank. This is no higher than the existing tank so no loss of boot room. Two solenoid valves will dictate which tank will be used via switches in the cockpit!
  4. Robin Hood 2B GRP Boot Cover - Kit Car, Sports Car - GRP0082 Has anyone bought & fitted the above? If so what are your thoughts and any pictures? Thanks Tony
  5. The bike carbs were on the engine when I bought the car. They are awesome and ran perfectly huge power throughout the power range. I have bought twin Weber dcoe 40s I am still wondering why I am going that route when the bike carbs are so good......
  6. Got the engine running today have to adjust the tappets but a successful day. IMG_5443.MOV
  7. New starter motor arrived today bolted it on and worked as it should do.
  8. Thanks for all the comments. Mine was 3.5l
  9. The company I bought the starter motor from are sending me a replacement Solenoid.
  10. Yes to all. so with the starter motor running on I took off the wire to the solenoid and still running on. Put my volt meter on the solenoid terminal and had 8v.
  11. I have an issue with the solenoid. Once engaged I have 8v back feeding from the main battery terminal.
  12. The starter motor works on the bench perfectly. If I take the solenoid wire off it still runs on. also it’s a brand new starter motor that I have used before the engine rebuild? I have just taken the engine out and removed the clutch and flywheel and reinstalled and it’s the same.
  13. Help needed starter motor will not disengage On the bench the starter works as it should. In the car it keeps turning with the key removed. The 12v is only on when the key is in the start position. If I remove the main 12v direct to the battery the starter motor sops and when the wire is put back on it dose not turn the engine “normal until I try and start again then starter mot dose not disengage
  14. I know this maybe a stupid question as lowered sumps are not all the same. Just want to know what would be the estimated oil quantity for a 205 pinto?
