Hi All, Merry Xmas and a very hoody new year.
I am currently rebuilding my pinto to fit into a zero and have 1996 zx6r carbs. Does anyone have any idea if thes ecarbs have a throttle position sensor as standard or if it is easy enough to retro fit one so i can run the tps megajolt system, or am i better just sticking with the Bestek system?
Thanks for the help.
Steve
Thanks John, sounds like everyone does it the same. Like the idea of it being removable, so rivnut sounds good.
Just another question if you don't mind, Where did you get the straps to secure down the petrol tank?
Thanks Steve
Thanks Dean
Clear as mud!! Was kind of what i was thinking. Does this mean you can remove yours? I was thinking that i might be good to have it as a removable item for any future repairs.
Thanks for the help

Hi All.
I am after a bit of help with my Zero. What have been peoples experiences fitting the nose cone. How did people line it up, cut out/ shape the sides and secure it to the front of the car.
Thanks for your help in advance, if you have close up photo's that would be great.
Steve
thanks Dan. Your set up is just what I am looking to do. how does the bestek perform? Most people want to use mega jolt. What inlet manifold did you use?
Thanks Steve
hi wooly. Building a 2.0 205 pinto for my zero. Was going to go twin 40's but bike carbs seems the better option. Any idea what the choke sizes are on Honda and kwaker carbs. What set up have you got?
Hi guys.
I am after peoples thought and opinions on 600cc verus's 900cc bike carbs. Do they offer the same performance or is there a big difference. Prices seem to be a lot less for the 600cc carbs so if they do not make much difference would I be better buying these?
Look forward to hearing.
Steve
looking good for bike carbs on my pinto. Do you know if you can use the cbr600 carbs? And do they just bolt on to gbs manifold with no alterations. Thanks to all for the advise do far
Thanks Jess. will take you up on that offer. Weekends are better for me. Let me know when you have a free hour. would love to have a look at your car and get some good ideas. Thanks Steve
thanks Jess. Is it really that easy? I have read that you need to respace the carbs. Not sure what this means. Which carbs did you go for? And which manifold?
Thanks Steve
Hi all. I am thinking of going the bike carbs route on my pinto. I wanted to get peoples advise and experiences with which carbs are best? Honda, yamaha etc and if it is easy enough to modify at home to fit a gbs or bogg manifold and what it involved.
Thanks Steve
Hi guys.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a 18mmx1.5 tap for my ball joints. I have done the usual look up online and a single tap is about £20. I have a spark plug tread chaser but this is not long enough or strong enough.
Thanks
Steve
