  1. just as an idea have a look at the level of the clutch pedal when not depressed and compare to the brake pedal

    they should be in line...

if not, there is a metal bracket just behind the pedal that can be bent in / out to get the pedal in line.

from there you should be able to get the tension on the cable using the clutch pawl.

if still having probems, try swapping the quadrant for a one with a larger radius. i think that the NW guys have the part numbers. if not try gladstone motor spares who have helped me out in finding one with a larger quadrant.

  2. hi Andi

went down the same road as you getting one off ebay, but the problem returned as the origianl rocker covers, chromed or not suffer the same problem of leaking

i bit the bullet a few years ago and got a burton alloy cover and never looked back no leaks and looks good too!!

they also sell ones with th e filler at the back, which works better for clearance at the front of the bonnet

  3. Hi Mower man just thought of something... do you have a pop up blocker on?? you might be seeing a message at the top of the browser saying pop up blocked, which may be the problem.

Other than that i think if memory serves me right that the ticket is displayed in PDF or acrobat reader... do you have the software installed??

other than that, print out the page with the confirmation of payment on and bring that along... i'm sure it'll be ok...

    cheers

  9. Hi mate i'm in the north and running twin 40 dellortos....

I get them tuned at a place called motorscope in northalerton

He is brilliant with dellortos and webers and has managed to tune mine up to a very usable 180 horses!!!

Yep still get a bit of popping and banging but that's just part of having twin 40's and a sporty cam

I'l try and get the car up so we can compare

    Cheers

    Chris

  10. yep gaffer is right... depends on which relays you're using and which switches ( either pos or neg switching)

you should have either a 4 or 5 pin switch relays for the dip / lights / fog 1 flasher for the indicators and 1 intermittent relay for the wipers

if you haven't got the instructions that came with the loom give me a shout and i'll send over the PDF's

    cheers

  11. well mate got better service than me.....

    not impressed so far....

  12. Hi All

Planning on doing a retro refit of the wiring to replace the rat’s nest of the original sierra wiring loom

I've got the standard sierra switches, a pinto engine and separate smiths’ clocks and toggle switches on the dash

Been having a look on the interweb and can see 2 companies

    S.V.C - http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/prod_rapidfit.html

Comes with everything, including relays and dash wiring for clocks and ilumination etc ...costing just over £200...

    Permier wiring http://www.premierwiring.co.uk/index.php?module=Website&action=Text&content=1133394009533-4156&parentContent=1133392767901-3830

From reading Colin ushers write-up, seems to be a very comprehensive loom, however it requires re-use or new relays(which i will be replacing anyway) plus a few extra bits to complete

I'd appreciate any feedback on fitting / setup of the above looms and recommendations.... cost isn’t the big issue, its quality I’m after...

    Cheers

  13. Hi Adam

    Welcome to the madness!!

Congrats on your purchase!! there is always lots of helpful advice available on the site .... We also get together the last weds of the month at the curch mouse in chester -le- street to kick tyres and drink whatever the barmaid is serving...

seat runners are a simple mod .... here is a link to the ones that should fit your seats

    http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/corbeau-seats-sliding-runners-p-763.html?osCsid=fe41a7874737353c962b71b75516e252

fitting them is simple with a few nuts and bolts and possibly a little drilling .....

hope this helps and look forward to seeing you at the next meeting... if you need any help before that send me a PM and i'll help where i can

    cheers

    Chris
