  1. Jacko,

All you are left with at teh back is the new Gaz, Avo, Protech, damper unit.

The old ford external spring is ditched.

You need to make up some Big U fittings. The original was a U welded to tube that slid up inside the roll bar, for the top and a

Big U with a bolt through the bottom to attatch to the ford swinging arms.( large washers needed) or weld plates in and drill through.up and .

The damper was mounted on bolts through the U.s

  2. The caster is in the 6-8 degree range specified for this type of chassis. The numbers were on the rig but not on the printed sheet. I will call them and get Monday.

My joints are about equal thread wise. Adjusted measured -28 minutes per turn. My criteria was 1 to 1.5 deg ,so chose closer to 1.

As said above, no chassis was really the same. I have big spacers in the rear top mounts to make up the gaps.

  3. Only 2 magnets on the prop flange- prop shaft joint.

Drilled two indentations into flange and fitted with seal dire. With more magnets I got an unstable reading. I worked out how msnhpses were needed to cover 1 mile.,( a tape measure and s bit of maths) and set the switches accordingly. GPs speedo app on phone says this is accurate.

  4. My 2B also has discs all round . I removed the valve. I have never experienced the need for it. I had a standard Sierra servo fitted at the time of the test , no servo at all now!!

My side repeaters are in the side panel in front of the screen mounting, so front repeaters are motorcycle fairing ones on the top of the cycle wings- no problem.wires come out over the top wishbone mounting and are attached to the top bone. Pictures if you want.

  5. I thought I would repost some info , that I had to trawl for.

I have just had my geometry checked and set up having fitted the new "handling" wishbones and thought I would share the results.

The rear of my car is standard and I have not tried wedges etc , so the setting are as is :

    Rear camber L - 1deg 52 min toe in 32 min

    R - 2deg 14 min 21 min

So camber could be adjusted but toe is not too far out ( about 1mm each side).

The front is now set up :

    Camber L&R 1deg 07 min

Toe in 4 min ( just a touch in from parallel.)

I'll now see how it drives !!

  6. I haver just refitted my turbo ( on a Nissan I know, but should be the same).

Waste gate actuator goes to the outlet side of the inlet compressor.- normally into a Garrett aluminium casting , or into the pipework close to the Turbo. If into the plemum you are in the right airstream but will suffer more lag as the pressure has to build in the whole airspace before actuation.

Other pipework is the oil in and drain to sump ( top and bottom), and cooling water front to back.
