Steve, you should be running about 20psi, maybe even less, but 20 is a good start point. I run 19 front, 20 rear but in a 2B.

 

The high pressures help to explain your enthusiastic self centreing (was that you??)

The way the car stops as it is (quickly and straight), I would have thought that putting disc brakes on the rear would have resulted in too much rear braking. Anybody any thoughts, comments, experiences?

I have discs on the back and no bias valve and have no problem with rears locking in fact I don’t think I have ever locked them and it is still easy to lock the fronts but not as easy as it was with drums. So IMHO the rear disc mod is worth doing.
