hi well i am new to the site so i dont really know what you guys and girls do

 

i have just brought a car today but unsure what it is (model ect) any advise and help would be a bonus

I f it has a fixed i.e welded part of chassis spare wheel hoop its a 2bo4 if its a bolt on hoop its a sub k

I would say it's a SubK based on the fact that the bonnet appears to be without louvres. Could be a 2B/4 based on the front suspension set up and the cobra hoops (didn't think these were an option on the SubK though?)

Always thought yours was a 2B4 Dave

 

TEX - there is a difference between the two - they can be identified by the shape and guage of the tubes in the rear chassis - will post a pic later which might help

Deffo sub K.

 

It is front mcpherson strut as can be seen by the shiny shaft inside the coil spring. and uses the sierra Lower wish bone which the 2b sliding pillock didn't.

Steve the 2B/O4 and the Sub K are the sme at the front its the back thats different

i thought 2b sliding pillar has different lower front wishbone

there is a clear difference as can be seen on the above pictures and the car in question is the same as the subK

Or is the 2b04 with sliding pillar different than a 2b with sliding pillar?

The 2B/4 did not use the sliding pillar - it reverted back to the same front end as the SubK: mini mcphearson struts and sierra ARB and radius arms
