I've been Salty_monk for a dozen years or more, on a bunch of forums etc. It started with finding an original name for Yahoo mail & I just happened to have a mousemat (still have it) with a picture of the salty monk hotel on it...

Must admit I was looking forward to hearing this one.

Know what you mean though about getting an original name, If i set up a new account these days I have to resort to picking a name then spelling it backwards.

Mine is a mixture of things :-

 

Mac is short for McGiver the tv program on in the 90's (My first job was working at Boscombe down air baseand when we were making things I went over board on making things) I wasen't good enough to be the a team then!! lol

 

8011 was my appentice number at Boscombe down.

 

23 was the day i was born.

 

It has been like that for so long it's just part of me now.

mine was something different for a yahoo email address many moons ago, my last name is Fox, it wouldn't let me spell doctor with an o so I used an e, it's been that way ever since on every forum or computer game that requires a log in name and never had a problem with someone else spelling it like that
