New Tv And Hd But No Hd Grand Prix!

Treated ourselves to a spangly new 37" tv, with Blueray and now an upgrade to Sky+HD. The first BlueRay we watched was District 9 - have to say it was just awesome! The HD is great too, especially with those 'Discovery' type channels (love watching the Teutal family scream at each other and throw furniture around in HD).

But why oh why can't the BBC get their act together to show the GP in HD? Today's race was fantastic; it would have been amazing in HD ....

We went all HD just before Christmas and I must say we are really disapointed with the lack of HD programes especally on the BBC.

Certainly the nature type programs are exellent.

If you have Sky + HD then all sports on there are in HD, definately recommend the Rugby (6 nations was in HD on BBC). Next season will be in HD for F1 (BBC do not have rights for actual recording, just showing) Also check out movies etc. Superbikes are in HD as well.

Cheers

Just a note of caution. Some of Sky's HD content is upscaled SD content and NOT true HD so may not look quite as crisp as some would expect. It all depends on the upscaling software algorythm. Having said that it does look better than SD that has not been upscaled on an HD telly!

Absolutely agree. Most of Sky Movie features are not true HD (anything made over say, 10 years ago won't be). Just upscaled.

Bit of a rip off Sky having all these 'HD' channels but not actually showing HD.
