South Yorkshire Areaish Meet October

The south yorkshire areaish meet for October is next wednesday the 6th. As per usual it's 7:30pm at the fox house, between sheffield and hathersage.

Not sure if I can be there. Looking like I might be in Germany again...(only got back last night!)

Also had a problem last week with loss of break fluid. Found the rear Offside break piston is leaking fluid badly (emptied the break reservoir on way back from Stafford. Stripping the breaks apart this Saturday so fingers crossed....

Hi Rob,

 

Yep, broke down. 1st time in 2 years so guess not too bad....

 

Been having issues with Alternator light flickering very dim for a while, which I put down to a slipping belt or bad contacts on connector. Last night I tightened the belt right up and checked connector before setting off, all was good, no light!

20 miles down the road, Got into traffic in Sheffield, and the dreaded light came back on, 10 mins later, lost all electrics, which is not ideal in rush hour in the dark.

Alternator confirmed as FUBAR'd by the Green flag bloke who ended up towing me home.

 

Really P**ed off as the alternator is only 18 months old.

Andy, if you read this then I am definately interested in your old Alternator. It will give me something to polish over the winter months ha ha.....
