Sierra Bottom Ball Joint

Hi

i am attempting to do a wishbone conversion,and suprise suprise i have a question. The lower wishbone i want to use doe not take the screw in version ball joint ,instead im looking for one with a plate that i can bolt to the wishbone. I am using a sierra hub so the taper needs to be the same size as the joint on a drag link.Any ideas anyone??

mine uses a maxi ball joint

taper reamers, of the right taper, are available on the net

is the wishbone predrilled for a particular bj ?

well they have a joint fitted which is a larger taper and i think they were used on cortina hubs??

I think the Zero uses MK5 escort bottom ball joints, these have a triangular plate which is held onto the flat plate of the bottom wishbone with three bolts,

 

Does that sound right?

i think the fiesta joints dont have tapers on top and it might be that the maxi ones arent long enough to give any thread, so im still looking???

I think GBSc sell them but don't seem able to find them.

Peugeot 306 or 309...3 bolt flat plate fixing, identical taper, long enough bolt for th esierra hubthis one

Wont fit a sierra or cortina hub needs to be tapered with thread and lock nut
