Does anyone know where I can buy wing piping, but must be in orange. . Checked all the usual websites and found nothing.

Thanks for the tip but this is the first place i tried. They only do traditional colours, not kit car colours!! Nice and helpful lady though.

the old trick from Dicky was to have a strip of leather-cloth say 1 inch wide (or however big you want the tail) then spay glue down its length and run a piece of cable along it (could use something like heavy duty plastic strimmer wire) and fold over, giving you the tadpole shape.

 

could be an option if you can't find the right colour beading but can get some leather-cloth in the right colour.

This is what my local unholstry shop said. I can get orange leatherette the right colour so looks like the route i will be going down.

Co-axial aerial cable is about right size.

 

It could even double up as a radio aerial....
