Brembo Brake Upgrade

My new brake set up throught i would share it with you.

283mm Cosworth vented discs

Brembo calipers of a ALFA 166 3.0L V6

Machined hubs, removed old mouning bolt holes and 1.8mm of the large dia so disc will now fit over the hub rather than bolted on the back.

Machined new mounting brackets.

Sounds silly but be careful what pads you put in..... As you will struggle to get heat into the brakes on a normal drive...

Judging by the number of engines Kev gets through there aren't many normal drives, Looks very good!

Forgot to tel you it only cost me £300. £150 for calipers £80 for discs £30 for brake pads and the rest on having some ali conversion brackets made.

Tried them out today work great, looking forward to trying to overheat them.

Research is the benefit here.

mine use the same pads as a range rover,which you can dealer buy at 55 quid. go to aston 250 quid ..for pads

 

Bet they stop your kit a treat.

To give you a clue on size the discs are 325mm diameter

Only put cheap ones in why i wait for my EBC ones that i have had to order 2 weekd delivery.

Yes they did but only just, have done a couple of track days and they are fantastic. Have had to play with brake bias because the front was locking up as i expected.

i have brembos on mine off a mk1 focus rs

 

324mm discs and 4 pot calipers, fairly over braked, but i got them for peanuts so why not?
