Hi All

thought i'd share a few snaps of the dino

progress has been slow due to having to pull the car out to work on it, however i've got it to a stage that it's ready to go to the paint shop

doors / boot / engine cover are allaligned and gaps are looking good

whole car is in high build primer and been rubbed down several times to take out the major highs / lows

trial fitted all of the shiney bits and lights

wheels and tyres ready to be fitted once painted

engine bay has been tweeked....

all electrics fitted and tested

engine running like a dream

suspension lowered

new rad installed

should be back by xmas with a nice coat of shiney red paint...

then need to put the whole thing back together again !!

aiming to be on the road by easter 2013

packed the car off yesterday to go to the body shop

after a good chat with the boys, i've left the car in their hands to complete the final prep and into paint

going to be popping in regularly to see progress and have asked if they can take photo's for me as it progresses

colour i've gone for is ..... corsa rosso red

gone to autoworks in Consett, so just round the corner to starforth

the guys there have had lots of experience with restorations, working on some of the cars featured in heartbet and have also worked on a few fibreglass cars, including a Jenson CV8, so loads of experience and keen as mustard to get going

will keep adding photo's as it progresses

cheers

been to check on progress on the dino

drivers side has been prepped, improving the gaps and getting it flat

doors have been off on both sides to prep

all front has been prepped

once the passenger side and back has had it's final prep, it will be getting a coat of spray polymer, before final flatting and into primer

Well done Chris, looks very good, should look fantastic in colour. The engine bay and engine look very convincing, lets hope the spray shop keep it that way!
