I was a little too eager with the grinder when I cut off the old arch supports.. I have cut into the top and think I would be risking losing a wheel should it break..

Does anyone have a matching pair of this laying around?

If your upright still has a thread in (M12 I believe) put the bolt in back to front - screw in til just visible in the slot - place a thick washer/piece of steel in the slot & screw bolt in to open sleeve up for the strut to just slide in -- much more controllable than a 'driver wacked in the gap.
