Speedo Cable

Just converting to a Digidash and using the magnet on the propshaft as a pick up. Do I need to put a blanking plate over the old speedo cable entry to the gearbox? Was thinking of leaving a length of cable sheath and blocking that off.

I used a washer and hylomar during the build but i have just ordered a cap from eBay 150977540211 not sure if it will fit.

Believe a 2p piece is the "washer without a hole" item that's required.

I've got a 1970 5p piece on my desk only 2mm smaller and would be more in keeping with your theme.
