think 14w means 14 whatts, I understand they did make a 16W as well.

 

if it is 14 whatts.

 

you can calculate the running amp draw, theoreticaly about 1.7 amps, however the starting current of a DC motor can be much higher and is dependant on the load, so starting with a wet windscreen is easier than with a dry.

 

you could try starting with 5amp and see what happens, but I would guess you will end up with a 10amp fuse

i have an amp tester that plugs in where the fuse goes which will give you your true rating pop round when your ready or i will bring to a meet
