Mini 14W 2 Speed Wiper Motor Fuse

I am getting the bits together to fit a wiper motor to my zero can anyone tell me the fuse rating for the motor feed?

think 14w means 14 whatts, I understand they did make a 16W as well.

 

if it is 14 whatts.

 

you can calculate the running amp draw, theoreticaly about 1.7 amps, however the starting current of a DC motor can be much higher and is dependant on the load, so starting with a wet windscreen is easier than with a dry.

 

you could try starting with 5amp and see what happens, but I would guess you will end up with a 10amp fuse

i have an amp tester that plugs in where the fuse goes which will give you your true rating pop round when your ready or i will bring to a meet

if it helps mine draws between 2 and 2.5 amps. tested mine a week or so back to see what size wire I could use in the new loom.
