Hi everybody. I'm a new member of this forum. My name is Gabriele and I'm from Italy. Last spring I bought an Exmo fitted with 1.8 pinto engine. The car needed a restoration that is not ended yet. Here in Italy a RH car is not very common I know of about other three Exmo here. This forum was very helpfull for me and I hope I could post a few answers to complet my restoration.

Now the car is in a decent condition but I need to complet the interior, change the spotlamps, fit an electronic speedo and other litlle things.

During winter I'd like to fit a weather gear (but GBS has not the set avaiable now) and an heater because I'd like to use the car for some journeys.

I'm not very happy abut performance. The engine now have a weber carb 32/36 but is not able to achive hig rpm and is a little "leazy". I'd like to fine a good tuned pinto 2 ltr engine but is very difficult here in Italy. I hope someone could give me some information on how to find an engine to fit by a supplier that could ship to Italy.

Handling is normal, realy different from another 7 replica I drove but is not a problem I'd like the touring style of this car.

 

Here few pics of the car actually. I hope to have ideas how to improve the vintage look and some tips about performance.

yeah got to get the zetec in we should do it in two days just got to make sure I have a working fuel pump and not to forget to adjust clutch ha ha
