What type? I'm looking for the neon type of around 8 - 10 kV. (... I have a plan ...)

 

(That's what is powering this little toy - it uses about 50 Watts when the arc is struck.)

 

I would be able to use that as my Primary input to another step up transformer for some serious fun ...
