Had the carbs delivered yesterday and am more than happy with the condition they are in. All the way from Portugal, the guy boxed them and stuffed it with polystyrene without plugging them - you'll see the remainder of the balls in the pics! Annoying!!

 

Now to show them the love and care they deserve with new gaskets etc... Am i right in saying the 45's have the 200 needle valve? As i'll get one of these kits... http://www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandise/products_details.asp?PartNo=WE436&CategoryID=3&PartsectionID=102 just want to make sure i buy the right one!

 

Also, a friend of mine has a caustic tank which could bring these up like new - that's if it's safe to put them in? Just the housing and trumpets...

DO NOT put them in the dishwasher either.....don't ask how I know this

I have an aluminium pan that i put in the dishwasher a few times, that i now use as a colander
