Think I might of reached the end of the in out in out with the engine. Finally got engine back in after rebuilding putting in and got running only to have 2 core plugs start leaking, so out it came again today to change all 4 core plugs. Wish I had just changed them when i was doing the work on it.

yep silly little thing I over looked. Hopefully some one will read this and not make the same mistake

Oh remember it so well. Made same mistake on my old S7 years ago. Rebuilt 2 ltr pinto, spent hours without an alignment tool getting engine and box mated up. Carefully fired up....2 mins later rearmost core plug went.

It's daft as new core plugs cost me about a fiver on eBay I remember!
