Is this model basically a 2B ?

I am a little confused on the models I am looking for.

The Superspec was a 2B with Rover engine, MT75 gearbox and Sierra axles

Basically a rolling chassis plus all the bits to build a complete car

Engine and gearbox are fine, but not necessarily together . Superspecs are known for a 'rattle' in neutral because they were not mated together correctly. You should be able to hear it on startup.

Also worth adding that unlike most of the 2Bs, which used a donor car for the build, all the parts on the Superspec, with the exception of a reconditioned rear axle, were brand new (unless previous owner has modified them).

Well folks been and had a look, it is not a 'superspec' it is a unfinished (well hardly started) rusty 2B. But the guy did have a very dirty and old sales leaflet off a superspec which was confusing him.

Very disappointed because it was cheap, for a superspec anyway. Will keep looking, shame no Newark this year
