Sensor Locations?

Presumably it tells the ECU when your foot isn't on the gas pedal. Could be used for fuel shutoff on over-run, could be used for cruise control (if it had it, which I assume it doesn't).

I can't see it on a wiring diagram but I've only had a quick look.

water temp sensor is on the inlet manifold mounting face, between inlet 2 & 3.

throttle position sensor is the black plastic component on the opposite end of the throttle butterfly to the throttle cable.

Have not heard of any oil sensor, possibly to do with the auto box?

don't know what the arrowed component is, not present on my car.

it may not be auto now, but if you're using an auto ecu it may be waiting for signals from some of the auto relays that it would normally have before it will let the engine run, and if you haven't got them fitted it'll be a long wait

cheers grim what did you use to extend your pipework to airfilter hose?

i had a look around a scrappy for some hoses that looked like they might fit, found a couple i could then link together.

I also found an old citroen that used the same air flow meter and had a lovely square-to-round converter for attaching the air filter. This was nearly 9 years ago now so you might be lucky to find one of those.
