Is The Speedo Checked On Mot

Does the speedo need to be working for an mot?

 

Have some issues with the mev nd need to get mot for murt. But have not connected the speedo yet

never had mine checked at an mot its more to make sure the car is road worthy and not in a dangerous state.so imo no

Defoe not my Speedo cable snapped on the way to the test centre rang them and they said they do not check it . Technically they are not supposed to drive the car so therefore there is no way for them to check

I've only just fixed my broken speedo. Car passed 2 mots with it broken so definitely not checked

Demo not checked, but note of mileage may be taken?

my 2b went through 4 mot's +2 trips to le mans without a working speedo
