  6. will check the weather and see if i Convince Tractor to join me
  7. depending on traffic (In chesterfield) I may make an appearance then. No in the kit though as 1 i may freeze and two would have to head home first.
  8. Not sure if i can make this one either who is going?

  14. i got one from bearingkits.co.uk they are getting to be like hens teeth not sure if they still have them
  15. great stuff, plenty of people not to far from you. get yourself to either the West Mids meet or Leicester meet or both (Once we are allowed - Stupid COVID)
  16. on both my 2b and the zero i moved the steering column up and out as far as i could which also included some modification with the dash as these has been cut to fit the previous position. You would need to bush the column on its mounting to move it out. Im 6'3" and managed with both models.
  17. that aside welcome to the mad house Chris, Ask away! and hopefully plenty of opportunity to meet us all (Once we are allowed that is)
  18. There is a bit of movement on the steering column. can be moved up and out by undoing a few bolts (Unless its an adjustable rack. I am 6' 3" and have had to do this on both kits i have owned (2b and zero) also a smaller steering wheel fitted on both mine to give me better knee clearance when cornering.
  19. the new one is for an MT75 gear box. I believe i have a new/refurbished one if desperate you can have it but in Leicestershire so bit of a trek.
  20. hopefully we can arrange this for next year was the main event i was looking forward to. Thanks to derek and mo for the work they have put in.
  21. The 2 LTD flywheel can be used but it’s 10.5kg I ran mine like this for a while with the zetec clutch. the 1.8 flywheel is lighter 8.5kg. You only need to move the pivot pin or use the longer thrust bearing if using the zetec clutch I believe. I am now running a pinto ap clutch with a lightened flywheel and have put the pivot pin back to original.
  22. I'm not that old but am a great believer in fixing rather than replacing. Henry Hoover was fixed with new motor. Some places wanted to charge me £90 for the part plus postage (brand new Henry is about £120) but managed to find the part for £26 and all fixed. Problem is a lot of the time is is not economically possible to fix which has been created by the manufacturers making the parts ridiculously expensive.
