Hi all how do I edit my for sale post's ???

Just to let everyone know that there is a kit car article in the money section of tomorrow's Telegraph newspaper, both online & hard copy. I believe it's mainly about the financial aspects of kit car building and ownership, but don't quote me on that 🤔. I had a chat with Joe Wright who's doing the article so hopefully the club will get a mention and maybe a photo, although, if I'm in the photo it might frighten people off !! I don't know exactly what's is in the article but they say any publicity is good publicity don't they ? Steve

One of our memenbers, Russ Garrett, has bought to my attention that there have been a number of scam profiles on Facebook that are targeting kit car pages GBS/ Robin hood and so on, by trying to sell parts. They ask for a deposit then disappear. When you look at the sellers profile it is often lacking in information and content, also the low price of the parts can be tempting. Just remember the old adage, "If it seems to good to be true, it probably is....".

By now all members who opted to have electronic magazine delivery should have received a "pdf" copy, and all others should have received a hard copy, of the Spring 2024 magazine. If anyone has not received a copy please let myself or Alan Richey know and we'll try to sort it out for you. We now have just over 2 weeks before the AGM is held at the National Kit Car Show at Malvern (Sat 1st June) and hopefully we'll see lots of you there. Moving forward (slowly) into the "paperless" age, we have just sent out PDF copies of the magazine to all members who were happy to receive it in that format. This is the first time we have tried it so we expect a few ‘glitches’. I could try telling you that these are deliberate features of the system designed to ensure security, equality and privacy but you wouldn't believe me 🤪 If you haven’t received a copy (please check any ‘spam’ folders first) then notify Alan Richey (username alanrichey) and he will send you a copy. We now welcome the Exmo to the 'Useful Sites' list of dedicated pages for each model, joining the Superspec, Series III/IIIA and 2B/2b+. I'm grateful to Jan (sparepart) for the work he has done in setting up this page as he continues to add more information. If any other Exmo owner feels they can contribute please contact him. Sorry about the forum outage today. Classic case of a software update going wrong. We have restored everything from the last backup but it means we lost any inputs on Thursday. So if you sent a message or posted anything on Thursday you may have repeat it.

I've just heard that Ivan Farrington (wanderer on the forum) passed away recently. Ivan was a long time Club member and many of us will remember him well as he made a point of going to every show and Club meet possible, even driving 4-5 hours to get to them. I was particularly close to him as he was one of the first Superspec owners I encountered, some 9 years ago, and it was the first time I had seen one of the gold 'titanium' finished cars. We spent lots of time discussing the foibles of the car design and how we were going to fix them. I will miss his company. This has been a long time coming, but as part of the recent update to the forum software there is now a new and improved dark theme available. To select the new dark theme scroll to the bottom of the page, select Themes and then Dark Theme 2.0.

It was recently highlighted that there was no sensible way for you to remove files and photos you have previously uploaded. This has now been resolved and you can manage your attachments by: Clicking on your username in the top right Selecting My Attachments Then ticking the box on the line of the item you wish to delete, followed by clicking the bin icon that appears at the bottom If anyone has any issues, please send me a PM
