Smiths have a variety of bezel edges as I understand it the radius has to be smooth

A fix is to pad the dash out so the bezel sits in

Sometimes trying to pass with what you have causes problems, sometimes it's better to use the minimum to pass and develope afterwards

2.5mm radius to all bezels, switches, tell-tale lights etc etc. On Florin we made the dash from 6mm hardboard covered in 8mm camping mat foam & vinyl ( leather effect ) The mat was cut so the instruments sat in the mat hole & vinyl was carried into the hardboard hole by a couple of mil.

When it was finished it gave the look of the dials being " frenched " into the surface -- favourable comments from tester on this method.
