I think Burton Power sell an extended carrier for the release bearing to take up this 10mm difference.

It seems i have sorted it, i wont believe it until i try it tomorrow morn but at this point it is sorted. Now what was the problem you ask ? The reservoir was approx 8" above the master cylinder. I raised the the reservoir 4" bleed it out again and bingo it seems to be all good. So fingers crossed for 6am tomorrow when i check it again
