Brake Problem !

Decided to investigate my brake pedal sinking issue today and was very surprised to find this !!

 

 

The pad retaining pins are missing ? how or where they dissapeared i do not know! there isnt a chance in hell i did not install them as they would be on the floor in my garage which they are not, the chances of 2 r clips and both pins coming out is also most unlikely 1 maybe but both??? i dont know if this has anything to with my brake issues but i,m sure glad i found it before the pads also fell out.. this bloody car is going on ebay soon i,ve had enough...
