Ask the question. Are they max safe load marked. If not, don't get.

Same as anything to do with lifting, holding etc.

You only get one chance in life.

Then of course any accident would not be covered by insurence.

As well as the quality question asked by Ken above, our cars are lower than the normal tin top.

The minimum height of the jack has to be considered, so preferably get one that is a low level jack.

 

My original jack had a saddle height of approx 110mm, this wouldn't fit under the car front or rear without using a scissor jack first to gain an additional inch or so.

Just something else to consider

I have one of these ebay 311360696381 its nice and goes under car just about but my min axle stand height is higher then max jack height so another thing to look out for

If/when you get to engine crane, happy to lend mine to club members if you pickup/drop off & I get it back in one piece.

Folds up flat in most car boots.

 

I used it two or three times in the build; for chassis lifts/engine in out etc. When I was looking buying worked out cheaper than hiring.
