Saw it on the news, it must of been an awesome sight and sound

I had a wonderful time....

When 6 of them start up together, the noise, the smoke, the crackle

and the flames grab all your senses at once.

While 6 started to taxi out, the next 6 fired up, when all

23/24? were lined up on the runway, they all sat there for a while.

Even at idle, that many Merlins make an amazing sound.

Then they took off one after the other, all circled the airfield then set off

in different directions. They started returning after about 30 minutes,

all formed up & landed one after the other.

The last Spitfire to return made a fast low run past, turned round & made

a Victory roll before landing, to a huge round of applause.
