To get the car through its IVA i fitted the Sierra steering wheel always with the intention of fitting a more in keeping wheel once it had passed.

Well it passed last August and as it was my birthday this week so my sons offered to buy me a new steering wheel as my present.

Today we drove the hood to Rally Design only some 27 miles from where we live, it was dry day and a good run.

We were unsure if we wanted a 320mm or 350mm diameter wheel, Rally Design were good enough to let us take each wheel out to the car park and offer each one up to see which allowed best view of the dials and felt right.

We settled for the 320mm, and as you can see from the picture it’s all fitted, well pleased.

Took the long route home, now starting to reap the joys of my long long build.
