just fitted a new hi power starter motor(1.4kw) to my 2b, 3 tries and she starts had to tickle the throttle a bit then she settled down to tick over slight miss fire ,might just need a blast to clear things out as she hasn't run for nearly 12 months, don't think I can get it mot'd in time for Stoneleigh which is a shame, as I need to fit a few things back on and a good clean up.

I managed to buy a Bosch 1.4Kw for £75 delivered . Mk2mania.com the guy had quite a few of them. Nice, honest chap

just fitting the bonnet back on dam bonnet prop went straight through the radiator big hole in it ,SOD IT

too big for rad weld ,so now looking for a new radiator

Just curious, a beefier starter motor, does it need a beefier battery?

don't think so I just fitted it and it spun over quicker than the old one on the same battery

Sadly this RH supplied part is too big for the 2B, just as well I didn't try to fit it to Florin several years ago.
