First Breakdown

Recommended Posts

I know it's part of owning a kit car but I have been trying to avoid arriving home of the end of a tow rope.

After bending and then breaking my cycle wing stay I spent half a day badging it back together so that I could go out in the car until the new ones arrive.

Finally today I had the chance as I was off call from the fire service for two hours, just time to get to the coast and straight back. Filled up at the garage and then car wouldn't start, looked under the bonnet, fuel pouring out of the hose going to the pressure regulator. Walked home to get some tools and tighten it up, no joy still leaking. Fortunately one of the stock car boys who I sometimes deliver to came in the garage and offered me a tow home which I gratefully accepted. Now I have to change all the hoses this afternoon and rain is forecast for tomorrow!
