Fire Pit

when i went across Canada most of the campsites let you have open fires and provided an old lorry wheel rim to have it in. I've had it in my mind for ages to make one using a rim as they are nice thick steel so should rot out for a good while.

I made my brother a gas bottle woodburner for his shed and that works pretty well. again quite thick steel.

Next thing i want to make is a small forge as i want to have a go hammering things :)

Made a forge a while back to straighten out fencing bars (20mm round & flats ) used celcon blocks to line the forge-box & an old suck & blow hoover with added speed control for the blow.

Could get the iron bar up to cherry red & melt aluminium for castings.
