Front Indicators

Hi all

How many have been for the SVA with m/c indicators on, and how many have failed/passed with the incorrect distance from the edge of the car?

Fitted some long armed m/c indicators and they stick out just as far as the drain pipes supplied with the kit, but not as far as they should be.

any advice as SVA is looming closer.

The only problem you could have with motorbike indicators is the bulbs are not high enough wattage so you will have to change them for the correct size.

Hi Mitch,

I passed SVA with M/C indicators using 21v bulbs, but I mounted

them on tubing which passes right through the nose cone.

Its epoxied to the nose cone, & covered in black shrinkwrap tube.

I tacked a nut on the end of it, ground off the flats & fitted the

indicators to it, running the wire inside it.

The tube inside the nose cone provides a handy place to hang the indicator wiring

Cheers, Bob.

:D I did the same as Bob.

I used metal coduit with nuts welded on the ends.

and then covered them with corregated plastic covering as used for wiring.

Is this a problem with the indicators which RHE are currently selling with their 2B kits, or is it indicators which you've bought to replace the old drain pipe installation type?

Hi Ant

It shouldnt be a problem with the new type indicators> the ones i was asking about are mc type which came from ebay and are e-marked.

thanks for the tips i will extend them as suggested then remove extention tube after test.
