The Haynes manual is a joke (not) waste of money IMHO

It only has the same diagram as posted by Terry

If no one updates this thread by tomorrow night I will

Guest TerryBarry

I think that the Haynes diagram is complicated by the inclusion of the "econolights"

Has anyone ever seen a Sierra with these

The problem with using a Fiesta or Escort harness is the connectors to the column switches are all different - they even vary Sierra to Sierra

or should i go to the scrap yard and drag a loom
that would take all day...and I doubt it would help. You will cut your hands, have 10 times the number of wires you need and still not know which wire goes where  :(

Stick with the VG loom, its clean, new and shiney...and lots of people here have experience and have got it working... :)

The problem is there are soo many different Sierra models about :gdit: I have the same instruments (although not a VG loom) that you have so that problem will be solved :D

Dave

PS You do know were the battery goes don't you :D  :p ;)

  • 2 Earth
  • 3 Brake Warning Light
  • 4 Alternator Warning Light
  • 5 Indicator
  • 6 Indicator (Yes there are 2 wires)
  • 7 Not Used
  • 8 Oil Light
  • 9 Power Supply
  • 10 Full Beam Light
  • 11 Fuel Guage
  • 12 Tacho
