charge warning light

Is it IVA nessasary to have a warning light on the dash to indicate whether it is charging or not?  As I have a voltmeter on the dahboard.

I don't believe so, but if present it must conform to the diagrams of the various indicator lights in the IVA guide

Battery charging condition tell tale is optional according to IVA manual section 33. Even the symbol and colour suggested in table A are for guidance only, but alternatives should not cause confusion to the driver.
