Hi,

Has anyone swapped the long sweeping front wings for shorter ones?

If so did this affect turning circle and/or meant changes to suspension?

Thanks Nigel

It has been done many times.

How depends if you want the wings to turn with the wheels or just be fixed straight ahead.

I do not recall any one doing what I would call a good job of stearing ones. Others may differ.

Some cropping of the suspension tops and judicious cuts to the fiberglass have given a reasonable result to fixed straight ahead wings. This should pass MOT as most production cars have parts of thier wheels out in the open at full lock.

Sorry no pictures.

I have done this using these from kit card direct. They need a bit of modification but work well and allow wings to steer with the wheels.

The front suspension buttresses also need trimming a bit to allow the wing to sit across the width of the wheel.

Thanks for advice, steering ones look best, I have seen other non-steering solutions but they sit quite height to avoid turning wheels and suspension travel.

I will post pictures in and when.
