So I’ve owned my Robin Hood new mark3 for a year now, the rears already have Gaz shocks, the front are still the standard originals with the red springs & zimmeride shocks I believe?

I'm wanting to upgrade at least to some new shocks, either gaz or protech? What would be my best option, new shocks with original springs? Or complete new units with springs?

if so does anyone know what spring rate to go for on the new mark 3 with outboard coilovers?

can’t find much info on these models so any help is much appreciated!

The spring colours are misleading from RHE, the original red ones for inboard suspension were 170 lbs/in which were too stiff, many have changed them to around 120.  RHE sold them and were supposed to be black, but the ones I bought were red, I also have a pair which are blue! Is your car inboard or outboard shocks?
If you remove the springs and are lucky they will have the rating written on the end.

My mark 3a has inboard front suspension. I kept the original dampers but ditched the springs for 120 lbs one. Transformed the car totally. Better ride and handling. Can't remember where I got them or how much they were but well worth doing.
