Rivnuts on car body

Hi , Can you use rivnuts on the plastic car body?

I don’t think you can, the plastic would split when being inserted.

I agree, having just fitted some to a small removable aluminium panel on my dash you have to put quite a bit of pressure to 'crush' them. Great piece of kit though the panel is so much more accessible than with rivets!!

Rawlplug make a rubber version that might suit you
