Oil sump aluminum pieces ????

Hi All,

I am fairly new to my kit car and kits on the whole. 
I bought a s7 to fit me and it needed a lowered/highered sump. 
I got the sump and fitted it only to find 4 of these ali pieces in the pan. 
Anyone any idea what it could be?

It’s a 2.0 zetec if that helps.

Looks to me like it could be the bottom of a bolt hole, too long of a bolt has been fitted and its broke through. What size are they can you take a pic with a measure next to one.

Don't want to worry you but that looks like the result of inlet or exhaust manifold bolts too long.  I'm not too well up on the Zetecs but in the dim recesses of my memory I seem to recall it happening before.
