Well my dad has rejected the idea of accoupanying my to the great Le Mans 2005, rightly so probably as it is a half planned idea, but still they usally are the best ones So my hope of going hangs in some other no planning people, who fancy an advbenture this weekend! Ok well the score is, about £54 is the best ferry tick i have found, setting off friday at midnight, who need sleep.... Maybe free tickets maybe not depending if i can get hold of my friend who is racing, honestly i cant really afford the tickets so am hoping desperatly that i can get hold of him, but if i cant then i am prepared to pay.. will know by tommorrow morning hopefully. So i suppose if anyone fancies going, let me know i am in northampton, if only one person replies then we could go in my 2B (or yours?...if i can have a go!) or if more which is best as shares the cost then i hopefully can persuade my girlfriend to lend me her new clio, a girls car i know but seat 5. Hi, first of all well done Rizla, lucky to be alive maybe but hopefully they wont be doing that again soon! Second, is anyone heading to le man this weekend? I believe the race is from sat morning? and was thinking of going late Friday, not really looked into it but I know someone who is racing so would be good to go, anyone else leaving to go this late, or is it a bit optimistic?

I am using a carb like this at the moment, it was off an automatic, basically i have give the electronic choke power, so that all works fine. The steeper motor can be removed andruns fine when warm just idels at about 500 when cold. I got around this by making a plate with a bolt through that pushes the motor to give it revs when cold, but then when warm it idels too high, I suggest the first way as it soon warms up.

hopefully not much travelling at low speed Bill although in mine its not exactly fast, and therfore your right not much point as far as i can tell, but thought i would ask the question! Cheers Bill Simon

Looks nice peter, theres one going on ebay so i think i may bid for it, stainless though, so lots of polishing in the winter which will be fun Then may get some tube to pbring it into the engine bay and then split it to fit the exhaust manifold. All good in theroy i think but everything seems that way

yep, thats what i have at the moment and cant help but think it is not doing the car a world of good, is it fairly easy to get a cone filter and then get a pipe to carry it to the carb?

Anybody found a good cheap induction kit for their 2L pinto? There are a few universal ones on ebay but due to the lack of room between carb and bonnet i am not sure what will fit. Basically i have a 38 DGAS carb and wondering what people may suggest? Thanks

Hi Pete, i will have a spare one in a few weeks as i am swapping it for a 38 DGAS, but as i say it wont be for another 2 weeks, if thats any good?
