yes I live in Priddy which is on the top of the hill cyclists have become a absolute plague one or two wouldn't be so bad but we get them in swarms of 20 upwards about time the law was enforced I.E. they should ride in single file!!!!! obey all the rules of the road etc..
p.s. I ride a mountain bike around up there too but I have more respect for other road users than most of them seem to.
and if you did run one over guess who's fault it would be!!!!
rant over (for now)

looks a bit more untidy and a little more difficult to achieve good belt contact when you put the alternator on the other side of the engine.
like I said I'd like to see how well a reversed impeller works I might have to buy one!
nice looking motor btw.
-
rigged up a zetec water pump a while ago so I could test the flow rate when reversed here's the result.
would like to repete with a reversed impeller but don't know if the outlay would be worth it.
anyone want to lend me one?
-
is this is what your looking for
bit on the expensive side though.
-
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=16447 that's a lot of money for the sake of a bit of fettling! nice though.

I noticed I was missing something with the filler cap now I know what it is!
Magh could you please do a sketch of the mounting plate with dimensions for me and the outside diameter of the pipe, it would be much appreciated.
the guy that sold the 2B to me must have a shed load of bits!!!!

yes you are right,
works the same way a grinding wheel is mounted.
something to do with the transference of energy.
I'm sure someone will come up with the full scientific/engineering answer.
I've very lightly painted discs on various cars over the years and never had any obvious problems,
if anything I would say that the expansion of rust between the two surfaces would be more of a problem,
how many people have had to use a large hammer to remove old discs I certainly have.
-
lots of discs are now coming from the motor factors either lightly painted or zinc plated fitted a set of expensive discs to a range rover sport they were black all over pad area soon went shiny on the test drive.
sprayed mine with a light coat of red oxide for the build ( going to be a while )

-
Morning all - Thought I would share this in case anyone is interested.
Amazon are doing the Hilka 82825011 2 Ton Low Profile Jack (which normally sells for around £60'ish from a quick search) - for £9.38
http://www.amazon.co...ow Profile Jack
Dispatch time of 3-4 weeks though, but I've ordered one anyway. Worth a go at less than a tenner even if it turns out to be rubbish
Cheers
Tony
