  1. Ohh perfect Mark - that's great, I'll send you a PM
  2. From what I can see, the part number is 1675713 and it is indeed M8 and 13mm (https://www.thexmod.com/item_detail.asp?id=21885)
  3. Hi, I think the bolts are M8 but does anyone know the length? I purchased a crate zetec 2.0 blacktop from GBS but it didn't come with a clutch. I now have a clutch kit but no bolts for the cover plate. Thanks, Danny
  4. Now updated, the previous layout was awful and I hadn't even realised! Should be easier to read now, hope you enjoy.
  5. Thanks, I will give them a shout. Re the blog I didn't realise that at all, I know exactly what you mean - it shall be fixed shortly
  6. Hmmmm OK, thanks. There's always something eh? But that's all part of the fun I'm struggling to even find anywhere to buy them (at a reasonable price!) but I guess I may end up paying through the nose.
  7. Hi, Hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas break so far. I've been doing a little work in the garage today and that included fitting the modified clutch arm pin from GBS and checking my MT75 and 2.0 Zetec bell housing all fits together (it does). One thing I hadn't noticed until now is that I need to get hold of a new clutch release arm as I don't have one. I've been looking online for ages and I cant find one, but there are lots on ebay for the ford Transit. Does anyone know if a transit one will fit, for example this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-TRANSIT-Mk5-1994-2000-CLUTCH-RELEASE-LEVER-FORK-1023158-/371712707891?hash=item568bcdcd33:g:fTcAAOSwHoFXtENd Failing that does anyone know where I can source one from? Thanks! Daniel
  8. Not broken no, I am at the stage in my build where I've just ordered my engine and I need to get my ECU sorted for it (exciting times) and I have been looking at my options and gulped when I saw price (!!) so thought I would ask on here. I would prefer Emerald to be honest, however I have read good things about Omex - which is it the 600?
  9. Morning, it seems to be "the easiest" and most common. That's only really based on a little research, I have looked into Megasquirt and read that can be more complicated to setup. Do you have a preference or something else available?
  10. Bit of a long shot, but if anyone wants to sell - I am after one at the moment. Thanks.
  11. Afternoon everyone, I have found an MT75 box on ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-MT75-Gearbox/222271205500) and I am wondering if it will fit my Zetec 2.0 blacktop engine? It looks as though the starter motor is on the left hand\inlet side of the engine, but from all the build blogs and pictures I see normally it is on the right hand\exhaust side. Does anyone have any advice for me as to whether the above will fit fine in my Zero GT? Thanks again.
  12. Thanks all I'll have a look at speed cables website, haven't seen that one.
  13. Thanks, the quality is something I am worried about as they are so much cheaper. Would be interesting if other people have tried them. Interesting you say the leads/plugs are available, I would much prefer to go down that route rather than cut into my easyfit loom. Perhaps I should call gbs, or do the fly leads normally come with the instruments?
  14. Evening, I've been looking at these from CBS as they are considerably cheaper than anything I can find and I like the look of them (http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/black-faced-instrument-set) A couple of questions from me, am I missing something in quality or what's included? The smiths gauges from Kitspares are three times the price. I have the easyfit loom from kitspares, from my research I can either buy the smiths gauge set + subloom from kitspares (expensive). Then make my own sub loom but the connector isn't available to buy, I would have cut the wires and put a new connector on and invalidate my warranty for easyfit loom. What would you guys do? I am leaning towards CBS loom, cutting GBS and using new connectors, but I have a niggle with the warranty voiding and "bench tested" loom I have. Having said that, two if the wires to the connectors on the loom fell out in my hand last weekend... Thanks, Danny
  15. Hi Mark, sorry these are now gone to another member.
  16. Evening, had more than my share of freebeies and great advice so time to give something back. I've just got my car on the ground (wahey!). My build stands are now no longer needed, they are free to anyone who wants to collect them from the Stockton on Tees area? I don't really want to post them as they are bulky but I can do if anyone's desperate. They are the propper GBS ones in black (http://www.kitspares.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&keyword=build&product_id=649). Hopefully go to a good home and help someone out. Any questions shout up. Thanks.
  17. Thanks again guys, all good info. I'll have another look tomorrow night and make a decision which way I go.
  18. I'd you could take a photo Andi it would be appreciated, thanks.
  19. Thanks. I guess that clip must come with the stalks when I get them from GBS, I'll hold off on doing anything else till they come then.
  20. Morning, Busy but enjoyable day yesterday. I spent the day finishing off my steering cowling purchased from Simon B (thanks Simon). Then pic is the end result and I'm really happy but I'm stuck, how does the top attach? I don't have stalks yet (on back order with GBS) but I can't see any obvious way. I am considering making a bracket, or there's a potential place for a self tapper behind where the stalks attach on top of column. It may all become clear when I get stalks but thought I would ask? My column isn't adjustable, if that changes things. Thanks, Danny
