  1. Have a look through Iva manual and from answers on here, but I think standing as proud as it is it will be Ng but recessed into a foam covered dash will be ok especially if it is behind steering wheel where it has less chance of causing damage to face or body

  2. Live from fuse box to gauge, other terminal on gauge to sender insulated terminal, sender body should be earthed through tank bolts (ensure tank is earthed to body) and it should work

  3. Hi

My S7 has one piece rubber fuel line from tank up into boot floor, through bulkhead, and runs inside side rail through cockpit and into engine compartment to fuel pump, I have had no probs at all with this set up.

    Regards

    Harry

  4. Universal choke cable (similar to old mini) off ebay £8.99.... spot on, drilled dash, cable through, nut on back and connected to bike chokes with nipple end...  1/2 hr job

  5. Have you checked the carb for 'jellied petrol in float chamber n jets? happens when petrol stands and it goes off, is the fuel filter partially blocked? have you checked the ignition timing & the valve timing? theres lots to do before you go for rolling road session

  6. Had a look at it today, looks like I've dislodged dip stick tube when I've been fitting starter motor and new starter circuit wiring and the oil looks as though its been coming from there

  7. After fitting bike carbs to my 2,0 pinto i fitted a burtons elbow valve into the crankcase in place of the original breather and piped it to inlet of catch tank, the outlet of catch tank is just vented below car, however on first journey out I was left with a puddle of oil under car and dripping back home to garage, the Oil catch tank is virtually level with the crankcase elbow and the catch tank was empty.

Should the catch tank be fitted lower than elbow or higher? one friend says lower but a diagram I saw on this forum from Burtons had it fitted above rocker cover height
